Default Shelby GT500 KR?

This isn't exactly tech questions but does anyone know some times on these beasts?!?

0-60??

1/4 mile?

Top speed?

I see one for sale on eBay ($100,000 without meeting the reserve yet)... Just wondering how they perform.

This is the actual production version FYI, the concept had stuff removed from it.

GT500 KR:

11.99s @ 120 mph
0-60 4.3 seconds
top speed: 178
Handeling: 0.92g skid pad
Slalom: ?
hp: 540
Engine: 5.4l truck engine with a el cheapo supercharger.

Cost: about $128 after mark ups

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Compare to Saleen Sterling Edition with $2000 Techco "720" Updgrade,

note: the 720hp upgrade is actually more than 720 hp, 5.0 magazine tested the base saleen sterling and found it made 90 hp more than advertised. Motor trend tested the base Mustang and found it has between 15% and 16% drive train loss on the manual consistently which is much higher than a dyno operator is supposed to assign a manual car (12% is the usual number for manuals and 15%+ for autos). Anyway it's more like 825hp.

Saleen Sterling Techco:

10.116 @ 132.56 mph as tested
0-60 3.3 seconds (2.8 with drag radials)
top speed: 198+
Handeling: 1.2g skid pad
Slalom: 77mph
hp: 825
Engine: 5.0l crate engine with arguably one of the best car superchargers designed in modern times, a saleen Series IV which is a whipple core with a computer optimized aerodynamic manifold.

Cost: $99,998 + $2,000

I hear from other discussion boards that the KRs and GT 500s are going for msrp. Pays to shop around.

They are going to be going for sticker price... just wait.

Saw this one at the Barrett-Jackson event:

I also saw that one at Barrett-Jackson. I was actually more interested in the Need For Speed/Terlingua Mustangs.

That Saleen is gorgeous...But I have to ask Legion...I am seeing a huge trend here with your posts over the last few months...Does Steve Saleen pay you in large bills or small...is it commission based? just curious because in a boat load of your posts you discount whatever car is being talked about and right away plug one of the Saleen editions....if he is not paying you, you need to get with him..he owes you some royalites....LOL

While I do love the GT500KR, I'd have to say that Saleen is one awesome Mustang.
