Default GT500KR: Can you afford to fix this car?

I found this on another forum and "IF" this story is true I feel very sorry for new KR owners who get into a crash.......... Read all the posts in the thread because there are some in there where someone has seen the paperwork on those prices and the pictures of the damage. Anyone here who has a KR may want to give a call to Shelby and find out if you come up with the same prices for these parts....

It's actually slightly cheaper to repair the Aston Martin DBS. Built into the price of a Aston Martin repair component is your parts being AIR MAILED to you next day from England.

So this is more expensive and less convenient but it's only slightly more expensive.

Who would have known? Talk about driving anxiety....that would be a financial fortune if you got into accident, let alone the disgust of having a wrecked KR.

It's only a matter of time before Insurance Cies refuse policies to insure that car or match said policies with Ferrari, Lambos etc...
Can you say... $10K a year policy minimum?
