Ughh, decisions decisions
I got my brand new 2010 GT in late August, due to obvious price issues, I wasn't able to get a new GT500.
Fast forward to last night, when I see a 2008 GT500 sitting on the lot. Called about it, found out that its a hair under 500 miles. Apparently the guy thought it'd be a real collector's item, then gave up on it and decided to sell before it depreciates any further. They want 41k for it, which I know isn't close to what I'll get for mine, I'll be lucky if I can break 30 most likely, even with only 1400 miles on mine.
Money issues aside, I'm terrible torn about this. I haven't driven a stick in 10 years, and even then I drove it only three or four times, so that would be a big change. I've wanted a GT500 for more years than I can remember, and I know I have a good chance here, but...ughhh. Any advice/opinions here?

If they want 41k for a used GT500 then I wonder what my car is worth over there. I bought my GT500 brand new, fully loaded, for 42k. There's no way I'd pay 41k for a used one. You will not regret a GT500. It is truly an amazing car. The 2010's are even better.

I check with my company last year when I was in the same boat, and it would have cost just about the same.
Cheers.

the price you mentioned is right about where me and a fellow club member bought both of our Convertible GT500's several months ago....I'm seeing GT500 Coupes for $36K-$39 in alot of different places.
...and as far as insurance rates go, I understand there are a few factors that drive everything, but me going from my old 2005 Mustang GT to a new 2008 GT500 Convertible cost me only $12 additional dollars a month to my policy...

The insurance alone isn't the problem, its the insurance + the gap between trade value on my GT and what they want for theirs that is the issue really.
The car went another full week on ebay (that I saw) and it didn't hit the reserve price, so its still sitting on the lot. When I was there, the guy told me they had "tons of offers" to end the sale around 38-39 but they apparently rejected all of them. I'd hate to see this thing just sit and sit there because they want too much
