I traded my 08 for a 2010 and i have no regrets at all. It's SUCH a better and more refined vehicle. Oh yea, no clutch TSB on the horizon either.

The dealer is definitley trying to rip you with that deal. If you can get a better deal get the '10 you won't be dissapointed.
+1...........the SC hasn't fully kicked in and the motor isn't broken in. Trust me it is faster than a stock 08. I got mine for 47.5 back in Feb 10 every option.

(2cokeman) the 410s r good for me..car deff picks up alot faster...and when u wna play and turn the traction control off the tires spin with ease.. on the highway i mean u have 6gears to go thru so its not that bad.

OP,
I got a much better deal trading in my 2006 GT for a 2010 Roush 427R. Not sure how to factor in your exchange rate, though.

I would like to make the move but I cannot justify that much coin difference?

You're getting ripped off for that coin difference. Keep looking, I'm sure you can find a better deal than that

I'd definately go with keeping the 08 and dropping some $ into upgrades.... a few suspension and go fast parts and you'll dust the '10.

also I don't understand why everyone thinks that the '10 feels so much faster...though those comments are coming from '10 owners. It's basically the same car with a slightly different tune, 3.55 gears, and an open airbox... my car was slightly modded when I got it, but from being in both the '10 definately didn't feel faster than my current setup.

The 2010 gets my vote as it's the first GT500 that I think my left knee could handle. I'd always had too much of a concern with the heavy clutch and all the city and traffic driving we have here to seriously consider the 500... but maybe someday...

Of course...never trade-in your car!
Ever!
And whatever they first offer for your trade-in is only a lowball number. You need to drag them to a level at least halfway up to what your car is actually worth. If you love haggling then give it a try. Otherwise, clean the car up, take it back to stock and sell it yourself.
