Bad cats problem...
Your Redline oil could be the problem. CI oils have a lower amount of ZDDP, because that is what clogs the cats. That's a big deal with flat tappet cams in older Windsor motors. Not a problem with the mod motors.

If I were you I'd lower that limiter. Unless you have built internals your rods will eventually go bye bye.
These hand built 5.4's wont have a problem with hitting that limiter now and them...I dont make a habit of it though...Brenspeed sets that point in their tune so the engine will run through the redline at full potential...according to my dyno results...best shift point is at 6200-6300 rpm...
