This stuff looks good on paper, I would love to see a UOA from your car when you dump this fill. The TBN is kinda low in this lubricant, and from the low Viscosity Index # it indicates it must have a lot more group IV PAO base stock than group III, if they are blending the two. Wish they had the specs for ZDDP. It has great HT/HS too.

Are you planning on doing a UOA on this oil?

I was thinking I would...Schaeffer will do it for free... a good friend who has owned his shop for 30 yrs and drag raced for years... turned me onto it (I wasnt wanting the run of the mill oil...and 5/50 is hard to find)... honestly his word is quite good enough for me...i am glad to see positive views here also...I do run Amsoil filters...

When you get the results of the UOA, please PM it to me so I can review it.

Unleashedbeast, I am just a lamen in this subject and I don't pretend to fully comprehend the data you are typing here but with all due respect it does basically read like amsoil is the best in the world and everything else is garbage? Obviously you have a stake in this and I think to ask you to be unbiased would be like ask a kenne belle rep who has the best supercharger ?? Right?? Again not trying to stir the pot and I truly appreciate all your info but it just does seem a wee bit biased..

No, Amsoil is not the world's absolute best lubricant. Red Line and Royal Purple are in the same ranks, just a different style or formulation and brand name. Even the big oil manufacturers have a few "select" brews that are excellent. The problem is that most of the major manufacturers have began using cheaper base stocks, all the while you are paying a premium for cheaper formulations. The reason why Amsoil is in this thread is because that's what I am currently testing in my Shelby. The reason Motorcraft is in this thread is because that's what others have been testing. I am not biased on Amsoil, I'm biased on true group IV/V synthetic base stocks, and Amsoil, Red Line, and Royal Purple is where it's easy to find.
