Potential GT500 Owner
(1.) Drive both cars & you won't want a Challenger! I did, & the Mustang won hands down even without a supercharger. After I put on a Roush supercharger the Challenger wasn't in the same category... at all! Nice looking car though!
(2.)
Consider a 5.0L 6 Sp. with an aftermarket ROUSH supercharger (540 HP) if money is an issue! I'm considering one versus a Shelby, but I'm old & can afford either... but it's hard to spend another $14K or so for the Shelby! Look at my '08! You'd be surprised how little I have in it, but it isn't a Shelby... if you care! I'm trying to decide if I should "be really stupid" & sell it with only 9k miles on it & buy a new one! I'll be spending alot of money for another 70-80 HP & another gear I don't really need!

Money really isnt much of an issue. Im thinking 60k ish tops but I just hate the fact I feel a need for such an expensive car... I really wish they would make a new Shelby GT that looked like a GT500 but just had the 5.0 in it. I dont really care about the performance aspect so much as I do the build quality. Obviously I drive a Cobalt SS right now so quality is in the toilet with this thing. Im kind of leaning German recently NOT BMW though I really like the Merc C63 AMG sedan.

for me the trap was the price. A brand new 500 for 8000.00 under sticker was way to great a number to pass up. We paid off the 05 exactly 5 months after the purchase and went back into payments for this one. It took 25 months to pay this one off so I plan on never doing the new toy thing again. No payments are just such a nice warm fuzzy feeling and to boot the car has a whopping 2400 miles ( 05gt had 4300 miles after 3 seasons) after 3 full summers of driving. I never plan on taking the depreciation hit again only to benefit the next owner, this one stays until I fall dead

Depreciation does suck...
Which is why I hope to not have to sell my '13.... Hopefully ever. But I need a garage because the '99 isn't worth selling, and I'll need room for my dads 72 someday. Maybe even snag my brothers 95 sometime when he grows up
