Im glad I found this thread. I will be purchasing a 2010 GT500 on friday and for the most part, the car is intended to be a dd. The car will b stock for awhile. So i figured with a good set of snow tires and careful driving i should be alright. I drove my 95 gt with a 357w with drag radials for a few weeks during this winter and i drive 30 mins to and from work everyday and did just fine. Ive seen in other threads others that have done it, so in my opinion it is doable.

I'm not living up north, but if a regular mustang can be a DD the GT500 can... it drives like a normal GT until you put your foot into it. So the better question would be can you have a DD like this

Going with a narrower set of rear tires is probably a good idea too. At least in the snow.

Good post, I too will be looking to buy a 2010 GT500 here shortly. It's intended to be a DD. I live in Florida, no snow, so it sounds like it shouldnt be a problem.

I just bought a '10 Shelly and i will say this. I grew up in Philly and I wouldn't drive it as a DD all-season but thats just me. I cry when it rains outside let alone drive on salted roads.
