Default 08 GT500 STRUT ISSUE

Hi, newbe here, and maybe I couldn't narrow search enough, so here's issue Have above 'vert only 5k miles, babied, stock suspension. Took car to well reputed, long time wheel, brake, and suspension specialist as had bad vibrations even at comparitively low speeds. Tires need "truing" and had high speed balance on car. Thought I should have alignment checked, while I was at it and shop said there was a right front strut & plate issue that wouldn't permit getting a "spec alignment"! Took it to dealer and claimed they couldn't find anything wrong? Got dealer service mgr and lead tech to meet me at nearby shop, which they sometimes use and acknowledge their expertise. The tech from independent shop showed them the play in right front strut which is issue. I didn't hear this exchange first hand as I have herniated disk and spinal stenosis that didn't permit me going down into "pit" with dealer and shop techs! Service mgr denied there was anything wrong and THEY could get spec alignment! Don't trust them as they did an out of spec alignment on my Lightning that ate front tires, so I have issue with both confidence and integrity?

Think there must be others on this board with same issue and looking for feedback and solutions, please? I have extended warranty that covers this; but even if I didn't, there is "implied warranty of fitness and merchantability" with such low mileage and great care?

Thanks for giving a newbe some much needed help!

First question(s): Are these original tires from '08? Does the car get driven often?

Car that sit tend to have flat spots on the tires, and the problem only gets worse as the tires get older. Tires, even with nearly new looking tread, have a useful life of about 5-6 years... Even shorter with max-performance summer tires. Just a thought.

Default Lugnuts, thanks for reply

Think I mention in post that had tires "trued" and high speed balance on vehicle. Issue is right front strut and plate. Car only has 5k miles

Thanks for any help?

What does Ford say the alignment spec is and what does the shop say it is? A good shop will always give you the printout from their shop machine showing three specs for each item of alignment.

OEM Spec, Before, and Actual (or After) of your Camber, Caster and Toe (Both individual and total). Camber is pretty much irrelevant in stock form on our cars as it is non-adjustable.

So, what does the Shop's documents show? If the dealer says they can do it, have them prove it.

Side topic, is the vibration gone?

What kind of "play" did they tell you it had? Front to rear, side to side, up and down?
