It's purported to be the pumpkin of the GT350 IRS rear end.
The regular S550 GT rear end on the PP is already a superior 8.8in assembly over the outgoing S197 8.8in assembly, so if this is indeed a SVT GT350 rear pumpkin, I am guessing that this unit is even more stout than the S550 GT PP pumpkin.
Since the GT350 is going to be more track oriented, even more so than the S197 Boss 302, I am also guessing that this one will have ports and attachments for cooling the lubricating oil in this diff and gear assembly.
Unfortunately, the pics posted do not show if my guess is correct. This leads me to another guess: that the ports to attach the underside of the pumpkin (unlikely though) or to the pumpkin diff cover.
