==Supercharger Project Advice Needed==
Thanks all for your comments and assistance. Since my car is new (less than a year), maintaining the factory warranty is my deciding factor. I'm going with the Ford Racing 2.3L 670HP kit. I found some better power and more efficient solutions with other systems such as ProCharger, Whipple and VMP, but I want to keep my warranty as well as gaining good power. This should give me my fix for right now and I can upgrade to the 727 when either FR decides to cover that system or my factory warranty runs out...whichever is first. Will provide some posts on my build progress. Like Mr. D., I am taking donations :-).
BTW...stage3motorsports.com owner is having a 12% off sale for his 12th anniversary tomorrow if anyone is interested which is why I was asking about Whipple.

I think you'll be happy with that choice, & even more happy when you sell it some day! My supercharger is on order right now! Keep in touch when you get it installed & will trade notes!
Talk to your local Ford Service manager about his attitude toward Roush or FR Superchargers & backing the Ford warrantee BEFORE you an extra near $1000. for a Roush/FR warrantee. Then do what you can live with of course. For me, I'm not spending the extra $1000. for extra coverage, but if it will keep you from sleeping at night... I get it! My local Service Manager will not hassle me about the Ford Warrantee, but then I'm 74, & I might get a different attitude if I was 25 with Tats on me! That's not fair, but it's reality! If you have a Mohawk & tats on your face you may not get a job in a bank! Reality Bites!
Stick with the 670 HP. Unless you are competing, I doubt you'll see the difference! For some, more is never enough.... until it was too much!

I drive my car every day so no question reliable, warrantied power is why I went with the Roush. It drives, idles, runs at same temps, just like it did without the supercharger. The only complaint I can think of is that is so quiet (it's not really a bad thing). You have the take the CAI top off if you want the charger to be heard.

It will be quieter, but I think it makes the engine compartment look a little cleaner.
Interesting! I wouldn't have thought the supercharger "whine" would have been controlled by that. It seemed more like a "gear"like sound. Quieter is better, because I like to hear a better balance between supercharger & exhaust. It is a better looking approach & the setup I had included an extra CAI & different tune. I guess I'll find out if Roush ever delivers my supercharger so I can get it installed. It must have been shipped by burro! Probably held up by a shipment of parts from China!
Yes Dragonetti. That is important even tho mind isn't an every day driver. But to Mr Ds point, I have to unass $995 to get it. No mohawk or tats here but not sure I want to risk it. Just my luck that one day I launch the car with a hard shift into 2/3, I lose my drive train.

With me, I'll worry a little about the auto tranny when dropping down into passing gear!
But then, I don't think I've ever made out on a warrantee like that in my life time, so I think I'll roll the dice! I guess, how hard a person expects to push the car would enter into it too! If like other such warrantees it will take a lot longer to get a repair with the extra warrantee than paying for it yourself. I've heard some tales about getting some other "after market" Mustang modifiers (no names being used) to pay up on such repairs! Life's gamble!
