Unfortunately the registry does not record color [:@] You need to call Patti at Team Saleen for that info. At the same time you should request a copy of your Saleen Letter of Authenticity - this will also tell you what your car is (1 of X, or maybe 1 of XX)

Hi, im new to the boards, I recently purchased an 02 red s281 and would like to know if it is real, im sure it is but just want to double check.

and the bumper # is 135
I also have another question. My car didnt come with any of the Saleen paper work, do i just call saleen and request it and what kind of paper work can i get and how much am i looking to pay? Well thanks in advance

 

hey, well it really depends on what paper work u need..I know I didnt get nothing when I bought mines...so I had to buy everything...I know that the letter of authenticity cost about $35 and my owners book cost about $75.. also u what to make sure they have u as the reg.owner now..that u are.. and about your saleen #135 it comes up legit..it also says it has chrome wheels....

People can fake just about anything - including your dash tag [:@] BUT - fortunately for you those numbers match up for 2002 #678 The only options listed for that car were Chrome Wheels.

What are you missing bodykit and suspension-wise? You should have these Saleen componentsalready.

 

So why did you have to buy these parts [&:] Other than the seats which were optional - your car should have already had the complete body kit and complete suspension! Hopefully it was wrecked and not restored correctly - or appears we could have our first MF case of VIN tag fraud [&:][:@][&:][:@]

 

Can someone please tell me if this is the real saleen. I'm about to purchase it in less then 10 hours and i don't know if it's 100% real.
The vin number is 1FAFP42X1YF303018 however there is no number on the front bumper at all... From the pics i can see the saleen sticker under the hood on the firewall, i can see the badge under the cd player and everything else pretty much looks like saleen. I can't see the numbers from the pics though... It's 2000 Saleen s281 with supercharger... So can someone please tell me if it's real and what's the number.
