Sorry for the delay sowaxeman, working my #": off lately. I bought the car in Virginia, when I get more time I will post a Picture. The worst thing about the car is trying to keep the white rims clean. Hey is there anyone at Saleen i can contact to see about the original paperwork on my car or even a copy, no luck anywhere else but i have not tried Budget yet.

by the way the 5314 is the last digits of the vin...

 

wow i suck at this the number on the bumper is 709 so i guess thats 89-709

 

Not much info on 89-709 in the book. It's a hatchback, built 8/21/89, last 3 of Ford VIN are 314.
It had the dash nameplate. No options listed.
The car shows two registered owners - Ken West in Maine, and Jon Meyer in Hew Hampshire.

Im contemplating picking up a 2000 Saleen coupe could you let me know what its got in it before i get too involved?
VIN 1FAFP42X4YF254851 Bumper shows #690 There only asking 15k so im wondering what may be wrong with it.

 

Well, it checks out - the VIN and bumper number. It is an N/A car (no super-charger from Saleen) so $15K is about right for a high mileage condition car.
