RE: Hertz Shlby GTH
Guys thanks for the info.
I am going to the US, Florida in 3 weeks. We have hired the Hertz Shelby for 2 weeks for our stay. Glad I found out about the traction control before I got there.
Cant wait looks like an amazing car. My uncle resteored an original a few years back.

I spent a few days up in Maine last month and rented a Shelby from Logan Airport. At least out there, the daily rate was $189 per day.
BUT . . . the whole rental was sorta accidental. When I went to make my reservation, the gal on the phone told me that they would not likely have a Mustang at my arrival and would have to give me a comparable car. I said that was fine and joked that they could always give me a Shelby. She was like, "Uh, not quite a 'comparable' there."
So anyway, I show up and of course they didn't have any base models. So I looked at the gal behind the counter and made the same crack, but she went back to the manager and came back with an "upgrade" offer - I could have the Shelby with unlimited mileage for $80 per day ($20 more than the base). My jaw dropped, but I whipped out my credit card before they could change their mind.
Anyway, the car would be worth it at $189 per day. An absolute incredible piece of machinery. I can't count how many people stopped and stared, tried to pull along on the freeway, or stopped me in the parking lot to ask for a picture. Crazy!

Saw one of these yesterday.. I live in Fort Mill , SC.. which is only a few exits away from Charlotte.. so you could drive up to the airport there and get one.. it was really nice.. Funny thing is I saw it twice.. making passes around the area.. too bad I wasn't in my stang.. I was in the Benz.. because I just got it washed for my mom.

Well the tires sucked. They were as hard as rock and I slid the car a couple times going around a corner in the dry. I really don't think you could do much damage to the darn things (especially with the traction control engaged).
