I think 90 is a somewhat high estimate!
I'd guess (and only a guess) these new wheels are somewhere around 30lbs each.
Oh and it is a 40 lbs saving total not per wheel.

I hope I didnt come off as stepping on toes lol!!!

But that $4500 internals enable the engine to handle 600+, worth it IMO. Might as well go all out of your buying a saleen right?

Anyways I wish I had the spare cash to dump into my car...Im on the 5 year plan! lol

I swear, I really swear. Before you do anything else, send back what you have already ordered. Go buy a non supercharged new 06 Saleen. There are plenty to choose from and you can get one for around 40k + tax and license. Go buy the Saleen blower from Haneymotorsport. Keep the JDM set up. This way you will have real Saleen and for under 10 k you can make it almost as fast as an E car without having to crack the motor and can customize which S/C parts you want. The only things visually different from the e car and the s/c are the diffusers and maybe a 3/4 window treatment and a badge. With that JDM stage 2 kit you will be making E power for a fraction of the price and you will have a decent tune to boot!

Also, you won't have to tell every person at the gas pump that it's not a real Saleen.

Hm, there's something familiar about that advice... I can't quite place it... hmmm

In 05SDI's case though I believe he already has his GT and has had it a little while. So this route is cheaper given taxes already paid and depreciation. Sounds like a fun winter project!

As long as you have the power to back it up.

Right Sow.

Ther rear 10" wheels are 44-45lbs a piece and the 275-40-20 P-Zeros are 30-31lbs a piece. You do the math. Sounds like Titanic anchors to me.

Never really been a fan of the wheels. Lots of stuff out there that looks better and a lot lighter.
