Default Inter coolers...

theheat exchangerfor my inter cooler has sprung a leak along a welded joint losing all of the water and causing the pump to become noisy,I have disconnected the pump, I'm assuming this is covered under warrenty? so will be on the telephone to the warrenty dept at Saleen later this evening (I'm 9hrs ahead here in England)
what i need to know..other than the now noisy pump is there anything else that is likely to need replacing due to this? and i assume it isnt advisable to drive the car with no inter cooler working?!

The intercooler just cools circulated water to drop the air temp, I don't think that would effect driving it -

have spoken to Saleen warrenty,no problems at all except as i am outside of the USA I will have to pay for the replacement parts to be fitted myself, but was very impressed with how they dealt with my problem.

can anyone confirm if it is ok to drive the car with the inter cooler pump disconnected and not working? dont want to leave it garaged for a couple of weeks while i wait for the parts to arrive and be fitted

You'll be fine, but no hot lapping at the dragstrip!

thanks, the only thing I have noticed since it not working is the air temp guage having gone up, but as the weather over here in England is approx 50f during the day and cooler at night i didnt think it would be a problem
