The SCT 2 is the only programmer that can read the Saleen tune that I know of. As soon as I get my O/R X pipe installed I'll put up a sound clip. Hear the kooks L/T with O/R X pipe on another 06 Saleen and it sounded really good. Its really preferance.

Default RE: H-pipe and tune question

so i listened to the pypes GT with OEM axel back exhaust and it sounded pretty good (on their website). I am considering ordering it. I looked on the site and the only thing i could find is XFM23 which is a 2005 mustang 2.5" x pipe kie (for shorty headers).

if i get an offroad pipe for the E, im looking for a bolt up without cutting any exhaust, and without installing any header. Will this fit the stock manifolds?Does the saleenaxel back locations match up to the GT locations? becausei dont know ifthere is a pipe that will simply bolt up to the Saleen exhaust.

Any help?

Adam - aftermarket mid pipes (X or H) will bolt right up to the stock manifold/headers and to the stock axel pipes - not cutting or welding required. So yes the Saleen axel backs use the same connections as the stock GT axel back system.

Yes - stock manifold/headers are shorty. I have the Pypes o/r H pipe and it was a very simple bolt on mod. I spent more time finding the jack points and placing the jack stands then I did removing the stock pipe.

ive always heard the X sounds better than the H Jason, how does yours sound with Stock Saleen Exhaust? Saleen#468 says his X sounded bad and he is getting the Pypes O/R H... it looks to me like pypes only has X pipes!

Its the opposite on these new 3v motors according to popular vote in here. H sounds better and less raspy as #468 indicated. Goto www.brenspeed.com that is where I got my H - not sure why you aren't finding it but they difinitely make it.
