EXTREME #59.....where are you??
ORIGINAL: whooosh
Hey all! Brant "the silent purchaser" here, making my first-ever post to MustangForums. Thanks for all the interest.
The Extreme is amazing! It's beautiful, and fast, and intimidating, and sounds fantastic; it's even helpd me develop a new persona. Extreme Brant (EB) is much more of a risk-taker than Mustang GT Brant (MB) used to be.
First of course, Viper/Saleen1 really is a good guy. As much as he was reluctant to sell, he was very helpful in making the sale go smoothly, even driving around town on a Saturday afternoon trying to find a notary. I think we stopped by 1 bank, 3 check cashing places, and even 1 funeral home. Eviligloo and I didn't mind at all; I was loving driving around the Extreme and eviligloo was having the time of his life in the viper. As much as I wanted to drive the viper, I was too in love with Extreme to give it up just yet.
Driving back up I95 provided good times and bad. The stone chip to the wind screen was really iritating, and the stop and go traffic was frustrating, but it did provide some opportunities for others to catch up and talk to us about both Saleens.
Driving is luscious. This car always has more power whenever you want it. Starting from stop or punching it from 70 to xxx can mash you into your seat. It has made more grown men giggle than I thought possible. Even non-car people have commented on its beauty and power. I especially like rocketing off from a stop and then hearing my passengers gasp when I shift to second and the SC REALLY kicks it.
Well, the day job calls... more later.

You made comments about your car that many of us women wouldn't mind hearing said about us....
ahhhhhhh........a satisfied customer! Good to hear............
believe it or not.........I never hit the pedal to the floor from 1st through 3rd gear on that beast....not once. Why?.....don't really know. Guess I blew the engine too many times in my Jeep and just wasn't confident enough ( or $$$ leftover ) to really lay the rubber down. Brant must have bigger nu$$s than I ...... glad you're using it!!

V/S1 - Truth is, I haven't floored it. I know there is so much more I haven't tapped into yet.
AmyVC - You are fast and intimidating...
BTW, that shot of Georgia is amazing. The way the light falls on the Windveil Blue, and those lines and curves... ooo, ah...

Chuckdoc calling Jazzer. I repeat. Chuckdoc calling Jazzer. It seems the new guy is doing some 'paint prep' on your would-be interweb femme fatale. Now would be a good time to scramble for the sponge and soapy water shots!! 'Anyone care to revive a classic?'
Chuckdoc on always gettin' Jazzer's back. [8D]
Torque monster?.........the E has the upperhand on the first 1/2 second movement ( well, can't really call spinning tires movement, now can we! ). The Viper, being a n/a beast, just seems to apply power to those huge 14" wide meats and g-o-e-s on down the road. A big-block V-10 has alot of routine torque compared to the small 281. Even at highway speeds, I feel the Viper "pins you down" more than the E did. Again, big-blocks are just know for more torque throughout the power-band. Now......if I go with the twin-turbo 900HP! upgrade available for the Viper......believe that would pin you in your seat quite nicely and a low-9 to high-8 sec 1/4 mile time to boot! Speed ain't cheap......$36,000 big ones to make this leap!!!!
