EXTREME #59.....where are you??
Northern-boys came down south and STOLE my ride right out from under me with a big certified check (hate when that happens), took a joy ride in my Viper just for kicks, and......we haven't heard from'em since.
No "post-op" reports other than a short email to say they made it home safely, and quickly.
If the Viper or Jeep ever leave the stable, will have to be more selective on who gets the chance to drive'em away......good ole southern boys would have been bragging already! Eviligloo? and your "silent purchaser"?........hello.........?

You know now you have to change your screen name as you no longer have the Saleen [sm=shootshoot.gif]

The ride home was fun. I was going to let the buyer post everything when he gets a chance. He's registered on here and has been checking posts, but he hasn't posted yet.
He just got the plates for it and finished the MD inspection, so it's been sitting in his garage most of the time. He's out taking a road trip to Illinois this week with it.
There was only one small snag driving home on I-95 after we picked it up.A vehicle kicked a rock into the air and made a nice quarter-sized crack in his nice new extreme right below the "S" in saleen. [:@]
If you're ever in Richmond, give Viper/Saleen a call! He's got an awesome viper you should check out (he even let me drive it.....it's scary fast).

Yep....he even let me drive it!So I can confirm that he DOES own a Viper and a Saleen (well....just the Dodge Viper now).
Quite the nice guy to let me drive a $90k car....

You forgot to mention I "offered" to let Brant drive it as well....but,.....he was already smittened with his new Extreme and wouldn't let YOU drive it while he took a spin with the Viper!
Sorry to hear 'bout the highway obstacle course and related damage.....never seems to fail that the prettiest cars catch most of the debri! I caught a windshield crack on the Viper the very first day I took it out after buying it.......thanks for posting up! Hope to hear from Brant soon.

I too am sorry to hear of the damage due to junk on the road [&o]
This is timely as far as road debris are concerned. Right now, all around town, the city in the middle of road paving work. They have poured TONS of little rocks all over the place. I hear the idea is that cars will "grind" the rocks down into an underlayment that was put down just prior. When driving down the road in my work truck, I can hear all the little rocks pelting the sides of my truck constantly. I wanted to bring the VIXN down to my shop so I could change the oil, but not now [:@]The entire area is surrounded by this road work and can't go anywhere near my shop in my car.

Hey all! Brant "the silent purchaser" here, making my first-ever post to MustangForums. Thanks for all the interest.
The Extreme is amazing! It's beautiful, and fast, and intimidating, and sounds fantastic; it's even helpd me develop a new persona. Extreme Brant (EB) is much more of a risk-taker than Mustang GT Brant (MB) used to be.
First of course, Viper/Saleen1 really is a good guy. As much as he was reluctant to sell, he was very helpful in making the sale go smoothly, even driving around town on a Saturday afternoon trying to find a notary. I think we stopped by 1 bank, 3 check cashing places, and even 1 funeral home. Eviligloo and I didn't mind at all; I was loving driving around the Extremeand eviligloo was having the time of his life in the viper. As much as I wanted to drive the viper, I was too in love with Extreme to give it up just yet.
Driving back up I95 provided good times and bad. The stone chip to the wind screen was really iritating, and the stop and go traffic was frustrating, but it did provide some opportunities for others to catch up and talk to us about both Saleens.
Driving is luscious. This car always has more power whenever you want it. Starting from stop or punching it from 70 to xxx can mash you into your seat. It has made more grown men giggle than I thought possible. Even non-car people have commented on its beauty and power. I especially like rocketing off from a stop and then hearing my passengers gasp when I shift to second and the SC REALLY kicks it.
Well, the day job calls... more later.
