Default is this a good deal for a saleen?

Well since its hard to find any book value's for Saleen's, maybe some of you experienced saleen guys can help me with a price of a saleen. The only place I found was nadaguides.com but that seems to be retail pricing and who buys cars for retail in the real world. I was more looking for private party pricing and trade in value pricing to see what kind of a deal this car is.

Ok here is the deal:

2002 Saleen S281 N/A. 12 thousand miles, still has half a year left on the factory warranty. I test drove it and took a look at it, Its absolutely perfect. I called saleen on the VIN and its the real thing. Carfax shows clean title and no wrecks. The only thing it needs is a set of tires. Not too worn but for high performance tires, they are down there. I have the dude talked down to about $25,500. What do you guys think, Is this a good deal? Should I jump on it?

thank all.

besides all the saleen standards, the only option it has is 3:55 rear end gears.

First of all, the only two value books that have Saleens listed are the NADA specialty book and the Kelly black book. The sticker price on the car was around 37k. I would say it is a good deal, but not a screamin' deal.

Someone else posted this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6236&item=45319941 78&rd=1
If you are looking for a good deal on one i dont think that is a good price, but if its exactly what you are looking for then sometimes you have to pay more for exactly what you want. because there usually arent many more of that specific type. I didnt get a screamin deal, but i feel that is is a fair price. Especially since there was only one other made identicle to mine. So thats the decision i had to make. Tell us how you make out.
