Hey Guys,

Here is my problem. I have a 2001 Saleen S281SC with 24K miles. I have an opportunity to get a 2004 Terminator also in stock trim. The dealership is offering me $21000 for my Saleen and $26,900 for the Cobra. I am torn, I like the looks of my Saleen but love the power potential of the SVT and have always loved both cars. What do I do? Your opions will weigh greatly on my decision whether to keep the Saleen or trade for the SVT. Thanks for your responses in advance.

What can you do for $5900 (difference between the two cars) to make your Saleen more of a beast and get the best of both worlds? Forge the bottom end and up the boost maybe?

Both are great cars so you don't lose either way.

I would do what Jonsey said. You already have a good amount put into your car also. Spend the difference and make yours even more of a beast. In my area, I've seen more Cobra's than Saleen's and I like having the exclusiveness (is that a word? lol) of owning a Saleen. I say keep it and get some work done to it!

How many miles are on the Terminator btw?

Hey thanks for all the responses. Yeah the Saleen is paid off and the Cobra has 27,000 miles. I've always wanted a Terminator, but I also never thought I'd own a Saleen. The Terminator is screaming yellow and my Saleen is S7 silver. I agree about having the exclusiveness of the Saleen as it turns heads every time I take her out. I have 24 hours to dwell on this some more before making a decision. Thanks again.

so for 5900 bucks wait a few months and keep your eye out and just get a used terminator engine and tranny on ebay or other places. Then you can have the best of both worlds. In the end do what your gut feeling is. Life is too short to not enjoy what you really want. Good luck
