Rich Ford in New Mexico is getting their first shipment of S281sc's by the end of this week. A couple of them are still avalible for immediate sale. If you wanted one, you could be driving one in less than 2 weeks. I could get you $2000 below sticker, right now.

Any idea how many SC's Saleen can turn out per week? I haven't heard from my dealer when I can take delivery of my car but it would be nice to know if they do 10 cars/week or 50 cars/week

When I talked to a rep at saleen they said they have 200 orders for April, if they can put that many out the door in a month I don't know. By now if you ordered your car your dealer should have a tenative date of delivery. They can't guarantee a delivery date, but they should have some idea, your car should have a number assigned to it. Talk to your dealer again.

Rich ford is getting an 8 Saleen batch later this week, and they are the first dealer getting them. After that, Saleen will start getting out more. There is no set 'batch' amout each time. It varies. at least 2 of the 8 they are getting are still avalible for sale.

Sean at Saleen says the first 281sc will be a blue one that is going to Villa Ford in Orange CA. He says that the build will begin next week.

Like I said on the 21st, the S/C has not begun production yet. That single blue car has been around a while. It's the only one. Guys, you can't always believe what the dealers tell you. Unless some elves broke into Saleen and built a batch of cars, it will be a little longer until we get the S/C. Sean is a really nice guy, but he only reports on what he is told. I hope they can get some cars built Fri. We will see.

Trust me. I always hope that I am wrong. Saleen has a poor track record and broken promises over the years. I have Saleen blood running through my veins, owned my first in 1990, own 2 at the moment and have owned 4 over the last 15 years so yes I just share what I see, not what I hear from others, especially at Saleen. Did you hear about Saleen raising the price of every 05 S281 by $1,800 out of no where? Strange right? Why? Cash flow problems?

I would love to see some S/C's soon. Birdie just mentioned earlier in this post that the first batch of cars will be hitting Rich Ford later this week. Call that dealer tomorrow and see what the do or don't have. Looks like Sean at Saleen told Ronk that the first car is going to Villa in Orange, in which case I will be ther tomorrow to look at it and drive it if I can.
Then may be I will be proven wrong but be very happy.

i'm dying to get my car, i'm keeping my fingers crossed. Hopefully my dealer knows what there talking about. If so i sould have mine in 3 to 4 weeks.
