Howdy folks, its been awhile.. I have been working on my Triumph Thruxton( I can post or send pics).. Man did it turn out awesome!!

OK, now my focus is back on my 2000 Saleen. I need some help here as I vaule everyone's knowledge!
My car is not SC but Im thinking if SCing it. Should I SC it or sell it and but a SC Saleen?

Also, Wheel talkagain, I would like to possibly keep the exsisting Saleen wheels on her now.Right nowshe has PZero Nero255 /35 /zr18 fronts and 265 / 35 /zr18 rear. I want to fill the Gap. New wheel and Tires or tires only? Some dude is talking 20incher... Really Wow!

OK one last item, I stopped at a local Ford dealer nad saw a regency Mustang, Must say she looked nice, Dealer want to take my Saleen on trade... HA!
Im glad to be back!

Good to see you back on the board and hope to see you post on SCOA Talk too.....

To S/C or not to S/C, I guess that's the question, then is it roots or centrifical? or how abouttwin turbo's?
You have to ask, what do you want out of the car -want to be the fastest on the block? or do I want it to look and feel like a stock S/C Saleen?

Lots to consider - sometimes it's better to go down to the dealer and pick out what you want and drive it away.

I want it to look mean and be fast , it does need some HP ( I think it does) a guy is selling a ATIPro charger up here for a descent price. Also the wheels would make it look that more awesome but Im not sure what to do, size wise.
Ill send photos up to the SCOA web site very soon.

I think the less expensive option for you would be to supercharge it yourself. Not only do you already own the car but you can also get whatever type of supercharger you want and shop around for a deal.

I'd go with a roots or twin screw supercharger personally. I'm not as much of a fan of the centrfugal supercharger (procharger, vortech) because I favor the low end torque/hp. The centrifugal s/c's don't kick in until after 3,000 rpm's.

I think that 20" wheels are too large for a Stang. If you REALLY want to fill the wells up, go to HCMand have him hook you up with some replica 10.5" (like me ) and throw some 315/30'sunder the rear and 295/35's up front. If you want to stay with existing wheels, go with 295/30's rear and will fill well up nicely

I recommend Michelin PS2's all around as they are fantastic!

I agree with Jazzer on the wheels. Anything larger then the 18X9, 18x10 combo on the99-04 body style looks too big. 20's may lookok, but dependng on what your doign with the car what are you going to pick up in overall performance by going to a much larger wheel? Tires can be changed certainly but I would save your penniesfrom the wheelsand forge your internals then get the same blower that is on the 03-04 Saleen E cars.. 445 HP out of those motors.

Good luck with what you decide to do.BTW What is a Triumph Thruxton? Is it a car or a bike?
Good to have many hobbies..:0)

Peace.

rp, I have stock width 9x18 knock-off Saleen wheels up front and 10.5x18 knock-offs in rear. When I purchased my car, 3 of the four wheels had rash. I was going to go with original Saleen wheels, until I heard about 10.5's from Marcus. The fronts are the same off-set so I am running 275/35's up there. I am currently running 295/30's out back, but will go with 315's next time around. I gotthem www.HardCoreMustangs.net(site sponsor, just ask Mickey ) and are exactly the same except for the "SΔLEEN" embossed near the valve stem (I am sure now that I have said that, someone will point out the differences []) They are 1/4" wider in each direction of the original 10" Saleen wheels. I have currently added 1/2" spacers to push the wheels out to the edge of the fender (but NOT past, I hate that) When I go with the 315's, I will probably have to go with 1/4" spacers or none at all.
