Mickey, sent you a PM, but says your mailbox is full. I STRONGLY recommend you forgo the GS-D3's and go PS2's. Same sizes available and a FAR superior tire. Especially when you start going higher HP, you will WANT all the traction you can get.

Sorry to hijack, but PM wasn't working and am trying to save our youngin' from making a big mistake

The tires used as an option for the 2007 Extremes were Michelins in size 285/30/20 all around. You can get them through Tire Rack.

Thats weird, cause the manufacturers of both the Dunlop and the Michelin recommend a minimum 9.5" rim to mount these tires on.

I thought the front rims were only 9's?

I agree with uncle. I have not seen 285's approved for 9"x18" rim. This may differ with 9"x20" rims, but don't know why it would.

I'd love to take my Saleen down Hwy 1. Was there in July, but flew in.

Thanks Eric but I have to choose either Dunlop's or goodyear's as my tires. Those seem like the best, wide tires I could find. Dunlop hasn't started making their 295 that I initially ordered

For those of you with the stock Dunlop Sportmaxx tires ('05-08), what sort of mileage are you guys/gals getting before having to replace them?

I just hit a pothole at 45 mph (arrrgh -- never drive your Saleen at night on L.A. surface streets...). My wheel and suspension seem fine. But the sidewall on my (stock) Dunlop Sportmaxx is blown out. It has a huge lump the size of a golfball, which I guess means the belts in the sidewall are torn/damaged. Soooo, I need a new tire. I was going to just get the same Dunlop to replace it. But then I figured that I may as well swap out both fronts to get some Michelin PS2s, since I'm getting 305/35-20 PS2s for the rear wheels once they wear out.

However, I wasn't sure WHEN my rears might wear out. They look good right now, with 18k miles. So I figured I'd ask you folks how long your Dunlops have lasted.

Btw, I was going to start a new thread, but when I did a search for Dunlop Sportmaxx tires and this thread came up. It seemed to have enough helpful information to warrant reviving.
