Huge tire headache...gimme a hand plzzz
Alright here is the issue. I'm currently running the Pirelli Rosso's on the car. 275/35/20 and 275/40/20...I cannot find a single manufacturer that makes the same sizes...and I dont want to go back to Pirelli's. I talked to 06Saleen3v earlier about this and he recommended a Dunlop SportMaxx. Could I run a 275/35/20 in the front with a 295/40/20 in the rear?? Or anything else you guys recommend. Please help me out!!!

I can't remember where I saw it, but I saw a few pics of a guy running 295's on the back of his 05 Saleen...it didn't look good at all, IMHO.
Too big, and filled up too much of the wheelwell.
I have also seen guys using the standard issue Dunlops on the back 10" rims, and it looked fine.
Problem is no one makes the "right" size tire for the back rims, and the Pirellis are actually skinnier tread/contact area-wise than the standard Dunlops.

285/35 PS2's were used on the E cars and they will work on your car too. Just re-program for the new tire size as it affect the speedo. 285's all around looked fine and the PS2 is an excellent tire.
If your car is usedas a weekend car you might consider the new Nitto drag radial available in 275/40.They can be used for normal dry condition driving and will give you more traction at launch as a bonus.

^ i agree. I recently bought some cross contacts size 295/40/20 and put them in my rear. I was disgusted by them because the sidewall was too tall and took away the clean look.My car also had a slope to it that i didint like. I cant find my camera which is why i havent posted pics. I took them off a week later because it just didint look right. The wideness was perfect, just the sidewall wasnt. If you got enough money, Nitto makes the Envos(sp?) in size 295/35/20 which would be the perfect size imo. but im pretty sure 305/35 would look nice if you have the right offset

Personally I, like Marcus, look for as much rubber as can fit under there and a lower profile. I say 305/35/20's OR 295/25/20's (would like to see even lower profile, but need to go to 335 for that and don't have the rim width for them). I have run the Eagle F1 GS-D3's and the Michelin PS2 is a FAR, FAR, FAR superior tire in all aspects, but possibly rain. I don't drive hard in the rain anyway, so no worries.
