Default Took Barricade to the Track

Well I wanted to post this thread to share the weight of the car more so than the times (which were crap...gotta love Texas heat and humidity).

I ran a 13.7 @103 with a 2.1 60' on street tires, .021 reaction time. I will NEVER go back to the track with those 20" wheels again. I think if it wasn't 90+ degrees with 95% humidity, it would have been a little better. I DID NOT take a single thing out of the car, FULL street trim.

Anyways, the car weighed 3700 flat with driver, so 3550 without driver for a 3V with Fiberglass S/C hood and wing. Anyways, I am now addicted to the track and will try to improve my times if I can make it out next week. I am glad I got a baseline time to improve on.

Congrats, Mickey

Good to see that your car, rather the S197, is not as heavy as we all think. I probably got ya all beat with spare tire, toolbox and stereo equip in The VIXN. I bet I am pushing upward of.....? What the hell DOES my car weigh anywho?

Keep those times comin' down and hit up the Polkster for some good tips.

Hey Mick congrats. Is that your first time at the track with the Barricade? I ran a 14.0 flat when i went to the track with the 20's. then bought some stockers and ran 13.5

I will see if I can borrow some stockers from someone. I would love to take her to the track one more time before i go back to Cali. This was my first time at the track so I'm thinking with just changing the wheels, I could rip a 13.2 @104 or 105

The wheels actually help the handling ridiculously which is the funny part, because everyone hates them, but they plant the car like a tree.

It'd say a 13.3 would be more likely though.

Those aren't to bad of #'s, with the weather conditions, etc. I used to think the S197 was a pig.......until we CAT scaled my friend's 04 Cobra. Both his and our 07' were almost the same.....3880 with driver, 1/2 tank and FULL street trim.

Thanks Toby. How are my 60' times for the Saleen wheels with street tires in full trim?
