I'd have my money on the '99 Cobra, without mods its pushing 320HP, while the Z28 w/o mods is only pushing 285HP.
Thats a 35HP margin between the two. On top of everthing else, the Z28 is just plain ugly. The LS1 is a great engine I'll give you that, but not good enough when it's stock. Now I would put my money on its older brother the SS, With 320HP also, lower lines gives it an advantage over the taller mustang in an all out drag. (my 2 cents)

Peace Y'all

Plus I've seen a similer race between an '00 Cobra and a '98 Z28, Cobra took it, but not without a fight. Good Race
look at what the cars actually put down though. 320HP crank for the cobra, that's about what, like 280 or something to the wheels if you're lucky? weren't the 99s overrated like crazy though and had a problem with them? anyway, stock LS1s put down 300+ to the wheels, not the crank. the 98 z28 actually has 320HP to the crank as well, not 285.

Yup..

'98-'00 LS1's usually dyno around 300rwhp stock.
'01-'02 LS1's usually dyno around 310rwhp stock. They have a different intake and exhaust manifold.
