I have the opportunity to buy a 1998 Saleen with a salvaged title. The car is a badged s281 saleen with supercharger with only 63k miles. Auto check shows it was a front end collision, but was since rebuilt and issued a rebuilt/salvage title.

If I do buy this car, I am not figuring on selling it any time soon, so resale value really isn't an issue for me.

I have not seen the car yet, but I am looking for an opening bid if/when I do go to see it. Hypothetically speaking, if all the repairs were done properly, what's the most I should pay for this car?

The real question becomes what's it worth for you?
I would say less than a nonwrecked car, but if it's fully fixed and it's in good shape, I wouldn't expect to steal it.
