Something tells me these cars will be very hard to get.

Not because of huge demand, more because I think Steve will have trouble getting dealers to represent his product. He is known for producing great cars but is far better known for poor quality and his inability to pay for or honor warranty claims.

I recently read of a customer that bought an SMS Challenger for $90K that was supposed to be 50 state emission compliant. He couldn't get it to pass an emission test in Texas and can't get support from SMS.

Good Luck

Well, when I had my 2005 Saleen, had a crank sensor became loose and cause the motor to run poor. Saleen paid to tow the car to a Saleen Dealer 50 miles away because the local ford dealer sucked and would not touch it. Saleen also paid for my rental car and was just awesome to deal with. Yea, wasn't as easy to deal with as I would of liked. But stuff happens and doesn't always go as planned, maybe the dealer the customer took there SMS car was of the same opinion and wouldn't touch that car.

I had a 2007 Mustang Gt that I had installed a saleen supercharger installed at saleen so that it would be covered under the warranty. Saleen filed bank rupsy and would not cover the tramsmission under warranty. Steve Saleen had a big speel on how he was going to stand behind them to protect his name but because it wasn't bought a a saleen car he didn't.

So in essence he claimed he would stand behind his name but Saleen stung me by filing bank rupsy. Screw me once shame on you. Screw me twice same on me. In other words I will never give Saleen a chance to sting me again.

He should keep the old Saleen design instead of his horrible SMS designs.

Before I bought my Roush, I was staring at a white 2008 Saleen SC281 sitting on the dealer showroom floor. It was only $5K more than the Roush, and I was starting to make the move towards buying the Saleen. This was around the time that Saleen was going bankrupt, and I was told they would not be honoring any warranty issues, and the car was being sold "as-is" for $49K.

No thanks.
