Hello,

Original owner, 2005 Saleen S281 #196. Black on Black. Absolutely mint condition. Only 4800 miles!

Trying to understand the value of this car and what i could get for it and also see if anyone was interested. Thanks for any help!!!

Prices are not great for our 05's . Expect 20-25 at best... for your car not being sc. People can get a new 5.0 for the low 30's. I have too much into mine. Just keeping it for now. Good luck. Great looking car and low miles.

Thanks! I appreciate it! I was thinking between 20-25 as well! I am debating rather just to keep it and enjoy it!

Not the best time of year to sell a Mustang... you do have a few things going for you.. low mileage, and you are in a good spot for Saleens. Dont know why... but there are a lot of fans in Indiana. If you need to test the waters, put it on Ebay with a high reserve or maybe a "buy it now" with a make an offer link. The offers may be low ball, but you can auto reject anything lower than a certain amount.

I only have 8K miles on mine. Put about 1k per year mostly to car shows. Every time I drive it is swear I wont get rid of it. I got tired of the low power so I put a SC on it to wake it up.. big difference.

For a point of reference, we sold our 2006 S281 SC for ~27.9 towards the end of the summer. It had about 13k miles but was pretty heavily modified with a forged motor and lots of additional power. It also had some Saleen upgrades such as the S302E cooling system and MaxGrip diff.

It did not have the original rims though, so that may have hurt the value to a Saleen enthusiast. Fortunately, we found a guy who wanted a unique Mustang with lots of power that had been really taken care of.

I think the 22-24 range is probably pretty fair for the car, and a good price to appeal to those who may just be shopping for a Mustang, but land upon your car instead.

You can get more then 20-25k easy for this car. Especially cause of the low mileage. Its beautiful! If I had the money I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Love the 05+ body style since mine is a 04 lol.
