Default I want more Supercharge whine!

I have a 2016 GT with a Authorized Roush Dealer Supercharger. I MISS THE WHINE OF MY '08 SUPERCHARGER!!! Anyone have any ideas how to increase the volume of the whine? Obviously the cover to the air filter can be removed...BUT any other ideas?

Have you tried it? Hate to tear it out! Removing air cleaner lid makes a little difference, but not much. They are trying to make Mustangs quiet like German luxury cars....BOO!

The hood blanket is a sound insulator so removing it will let you hear more engine noise. It doesn't affect the hood paint at all because it is for sound (not paint protection, not fire protection). Lots of people have removed the blanket with no problems - I drove my car, with supercharger inches from the hood, for over 100,000 miles and no paint issues.

Try it and see if you can hear the blower more. It is only a bunch of plastic clips holding it in place so easy to remove. Your hood underside though could be unpainted (in primer) and if it is painted not clear coated under the blanket.

Tell it you're going to replace it with a turbo.

Select the clip you like most, record it, and set it on a loop on your audio system

Most companies these days either pipe the sound in or even have it produced by the sound system (BMW M series) or a sound device (VW Turbo models). Total B.S.

I agree, MrD that the whine of a supercharger is great. I miss my Xcharger scream from my 2006

And my granddaughter was riding along in this pass, 6 years old at the time
