RE: 06 SALEEN S281-SC 1/4 TIME
Of course it was. Why do you think none of the new saleen owners are posting any track times????? Hate to be the one to break it to you, but the saleen s/c is outrun by the vortech, KB, procharger and just about anything else. I think the only s/c the saleen outperforms is the roush (the absolute worst).
Go ahead guys, prove me wrong - post your true et's and see. There is not 1 saleen running impresive numbers. Not even sponsored cars. I know the capability of the saleen and think it CAN make great power, but I find it interesting that no one is getting anything out of them yet. Maybe in a couple more months - who knows?? But right now - today - the saleen's get smoked by every other s/c. (except roush).
I don't even think a saleen has broke into the 11's yet on the new GT??? I stand by Saleen = SLOW

But would it outrun or take out an 06 corvette c6????/

The saleen kit installed with the saleen provided tune would get smoked by a C6. You would have to spend some more money, i.e. swap pulleys, custom tune, get some drag radials, etc. and then you could hang with one. The Saleen's are not cost effective for their power ratio. After you drop over 6K - you'd think you would be good to go - but you're not. I'm not bagging on the saleens, I think they are very efficient and nice looking s/c - but they don't come making any power and that's a fact. It seems hard to justify spending all that money when you could buy another product and get the power you want right out of the box as is.

RE: 06 SALEEN S281-SC 1/4 TIME
I didn't buy a Saleen Series VI because it puts out the most power and is the biggest and baddest out there, I bought it because its good power at low boost and I drive this car every day.
My '06 Mustang puts down 403rwhp on the stock Saleen pulley. My car isn't slow to me. No matter what you drive, there's always a faster car. When the track opens up again in March I'll post my times.

5.0 magazine ran a 12.5 @ 110 in a 05 S281sc. The S281sc makes between 385-400 rwhp @ 3-4 psi. I am quite convinced that the Saleen series VI blower has as much or more potential than the KB at the same psi. Anyone who believes otherwise is uneducated. How the hell is a 400 rwhp stock S281sc slow? Compared to a Ford GT I guess it is.
What's really funny is:
...Basicly every statement made here is incorrect.
