Default Clutch Position to start 2007 Shelby Gt

On the 2007 Shelby GT, and probably all 5 spd Mustangs, the clutch must be depressed to engage the starter. Unfortunately, mine must be mashed almost all the way to the carpet to start it! Does anyone know how to adjust this switch. I am assuming it is external, on the steering colume like the brake light switch. Help is greatly appreciated.

The Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) switch is at the top of the clutch pedal. i don't know how much "adjustment" in physical position can be made to it. you might just have to get a replacement CPP switch, yours may be faulty? C257 is the part number in the wiring diagram, and at NAPA they're 34$ ECHNS5874

hope this helps...

I have to put my clutch all the way to the carpet as well. It's just kind of a minor annoyance.
