Default 2001 Roush v6 sport?

I recently bought a 2001 roush v6 stage sport, i searched the vin on the roush website it matches my car and i was wondering if they did anything to the engine or if it's just a the cosmetics and side pipes. It sounds like it has a turbo on it, but i dont really see anything under the hood that would be a turbo. It does sound like one though. when you rev up and the let off the gas it makes like a ppssshhhhhhh sound. as far as i know the v6 were only stage 1 or 2 with not many, if any engine upgrades. lemme know what you think or if you want pics of the engine, i can upload some later.

Stage 1 = Wheels, ground effects, and side exhaust.
Stage 2 = Stage 1 plus ungraded suspension
Stage 3 = Stage 1 & 2 plus a supercharger

If this is how your intake looks:

Then there is no turbine of any sort...

It doesn't look like that.

It has a sticker on the front that says MAC preformace inc, air induction system. I did a search and they have a cold air intake, is that what i have? and if it is, what does it do?

Yea, you just have a different intake. The Stock one is cold air too, you can see
it goes to the fender-well like that one does. The difference is, your air filter is
inside the fender-well. Stock one is inside the engine bay, in that big bulbus
enclosure. Looks like you have an updated coil pack too. You also have camber
and castor adjuster plates on the strut towers, nice.

I have a 2001 V6 Roush as well and I was wondering whether or not it had anything done to the motor as well so this answer is a lot of questions now my other question is did Roush do any tuning to the car to cause me to be able to not put in a super chip?

Roush usually didn't tune anything unless they put a supercharger on it, so you should be fine.
