Passenger Valve Cover Removal...shouldn't be this hard???
I'm replacing the gaskets on my 2001 4.6 GT and I've watched several videos and read some things online and NONE of them mention moving the Transmission filler tube to remove the passenger side valve cover but I've tried moving it several different ways and it isn't coming off without loosening the transmission filler tube per the Ford Service manual. Apparently the bolt to loosen the transmission filler tube is somewhere on the transmission bell housing.
Seriously, NONE of the videos I've watched or posts I've read about removing the valve cover mention this...is there a work around that just isn't apparent to me??? Looking for some feedback from those that have done this.

Gadgetech, If I remember correctly, the easiest way to remove the bolt that holds the tube bracket is from the Right hand wheelarch. Behind the wheel there's a flexible cover you can remove (held on by clips) and you'll be able to see the bracket and bolt just above the oil filter. I hope this is good for your application.

Thank you for the info @Buck_Sergeant! I'll give that a shot. I started this project with the car in my garage and since I didn't expect to need more than standing room, I need to move the car around in the garage (should be fun without power).

Man, I’ve tried to remove it 9 ways to Sunday...I’ve gotten close but don’t want to break it.
