Mondo BOV Install
Hello all
I have an 88 5.0 with a Vortech and upgraded to a mondo bov. Vortech does not provide any install piping. Their tech said to try and find some preformed radiator hose that might fit. Nothing I find seems to work right and it kinks at the bend causing lack of flow. You would think they would provide preformed piping. Anyone have any ideas?

Depending on what size and length you need,Dayco makes flexible radiator hoses
you can use that wont kink.Someone mentioned the bov has a 2" outlet. If that's the case,Summit Racing sells one that's 12.25" long with 2" outlets. Its shown in the link & pic below. Is this the size you need??

There is also a part called a EZ Coil, that you slide onto the OD of a radiator hose, but Im not sure if its available in our radiator hose diameters or just heater hoses??
Another option: the oem factory installed lower radiator hose had a spring in it that kept the hose from kinking or collapsing when vacuum was being pulled on the cooling system as it was being filled with coolant for the very first time on the assembly line.Once the cooling system was filled completely, there was no other reason for the spring to remain there, however they decided to just leave the spring in place & not remove it and thats why one was present in the lower hose when it came time to replace the hose and owners first noticed it. IOW- it wasn't used to keep the hose from collapsing all the time.It was used only for the initial filling of the system when vacuum could likely collapse the hose.If you wanna buy the same spring to incorporate into the hose on your bov, click the following link to see/buy the part.It comes in two lengths. The first link below shows the 8" version and the second link shows the 13" version.Choose the length you need.

there really shouldn't be any vacuum on the hose. if there is, your air filter is clogged to the point the engine probably won't even run. the rest of the time, there is positive pressure in the hose.

Hose ordered
So I ordered some of the non-collapsible hoses. I still can't get the right bend. Going to take pics and post them when I get back home. I am fairly competent and this is so aggravating but I really appreciate people replying.
