Hey all, I'm in NorthWest Raleigh. Just picked up my '07 GT in September, and think it would be cool to get up with a club too. I have been taking the wife's minivan to Wakefield Ford, but what dealer in the area is mod friendly? I'm hesitant on pulling the trigger for a tune...

I think we should just make our own club so we don't have to pay dues or anything. [8D]

Thanks jlp...Do you take your car to them? By some remote chance something goes wrong in the engine, I just don't want to hear h, we're not honoring the warranty because of the tune you have on your vehicle". I noticed in your sig that you have a custom tune from Haywood. How do you like it? Was the C&L and custom tune from Haywood worth any more to you than, say, picking up a CAI and tune from Brenspeed or Evo Performance? I have been to his shop before. A buddy of mine had his '89 GT vert there, getting axles installed. He also brought his '06 Hemi Magnum in there to get Dyno'd.

The tune was well worth it my numbers jumped big time while on the bottle up 15 hp and 46 trq plus the A/F is flat all the way across the RPM range plus it's a fun place just hang out for a while.

And yes I take my car to Wakefield they seem to be very friendly. I asked about suspention mods and they said no problem just don't come to them for tire ware issuses after its done, but other than that they said they would cover it. They haven't seen the bottle and never will I don't think anyone is that friendly.

Wakefield is mod friendly or at least they were with me. I was pullied, chipped, exhaust, etc when my heater core went south. They replaced it, no questions asked and at the time I didn't even have Cats on. Do not, I repeat, do not take your modded car to Capital. I also had luck with Crossroads, they replaced a whole tranny for me when the TOB went south (at the time, that was Ford's solution). Good luck.

Thanks man! That's good to know. Will make pulling the trigger for a CAI and tune a little easier! I won't go back to Capital. I had some pretty nasty words with them over a year ago. I had an Explorer before the Stang, and they did some work on the A/C under warranty. Well, it had A/C problems again, this time the warranty was up, and they wouldn't honor the work they did on the system. They said it was a bunch of different stuff now. They wanted 1k to fix it...let's just say, it never got fixed.
