Local Ford dealer called me today to schedule a "VIP" appointment for Monday to see about an '09. I'm thinking $18k for GT premium convertible (pipe dream?). We'll see what happens. Just paid $14k for an '05 V6 vert about 10 weeks ago. Love the 05, but if they're dealing hard on a 45th Anniversary, I might fore-go the yellow and get black with red interior.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinkin'. If they offer a good deal, I might have to consider it. Invested so far - $14k for my V6, plus $500 I've paid for take off rear GT bumper and side skirts (both painted screamin' yellow). Then I'll need the V6 chin spoiler and have it painted (maybe $300 total). Plus about $500 for a FRPP V6 dual exhaust (if my Ford Service Manager cousin comes through with a deal on parts) plus $100 for sequential tails plus $200 for a used Pony Package grill and another $40 for the GT fog light switch. Plus my time to install it all. That's about another $1,500. And I'm gonna have to get nicer wheels - about $1500 with tires. So say $17k in all for a four year old V6with no warranty and 43k miles. Hate to give up the yellow, but if the price is right I could live with black or torch red.

BC - Orange is my 2nd favorite color choice! I'll be watching for it in the classifieds... be realistic with your price though, there are too many deals out there - have you seen this (STILL NOT SOLD)?

i'm waiting to see what the dealers will be wanting for the 2010's. with sales being down i'm guessing they'll be happy to sell them over invoice, and seeing as the 09 F150 had rebates as soon as they hit the lot, i wouldn't be suprised if good deals can be had on them.

that car is a very good price, but i honestly don't think i'd be able to sell it for less than 22K.
