What do look I for in a carb?
I just got a 1985 Mustang Hatch LX with a few mods already on it. But the Carb is spewing fuel. It's a Holley 750 cfm, With my set-up can I tune the 750 to work or do I NEED to get a 600? Money is non existant, so trading my 750 for a 600 is my only other option, other than just tuning the 750 to work.
Edlebrock intake
Hooker comp headers
Flowmaster mufflers
MSD ignition
ac & smog are disconnected but not deleted from the serpentine route
Morosso carb spacer?
Fram fuel pump outback
holley fuel pressure regulator (no idea the pressure it is set to)
If anyone is near North west Indiana or Chicago I would love to make friends with someone more knowledgable than me.

Spewing fuel from where? If it's the vent tube, you either have dirt holding the needle valve open or to much fuel pressure. Pulling the needle valves and cleaning them is free, you should get a pressure guage so you can adjust fuel pressure accurately.
where could I find information on how to clean needle valves. It seems to me the vent tube is where its spewing from.
secondly, how do I connect a fuel pressure guage? The regulator is like a cross, with fuel coming in from the bottom, and the outgoing to the carb out one side. The top adjusts? and then attach a guage to the other side? or will that not be the same pressure?
Here is a pic to help

Only way that car would even think about needing that much carb is if it had a massive set of heads that had some serious flowage. I would say as soon as you can get your problem fixed you need to look for someone to trade you a 600 up to maybe a 670. You're definitely in the right place to look for that action. You know corral day is coming up in June in Bowling Green. I don't know where you live, but you might actually find someone there to trade with in person. Good luck.
