Default HIGH RPM PROBLEM!!!

I have an 87 GT I recently purchased and haven't driven much at all. Here is my problem: the car runs extremly well until you have driven for a while and it's good and warm. The temp gauge reads around 180 and stays there. That's when the RPM's climb to around 2000 and stays there. I'm still learning guys, I need help! I was told to remove and clean both the EGR valve and the IAC. I CAN'T FIND THEM! I feel like an idiot![sm=bangbang.gif] Can someone please help educate me so I can clean these? Thank You very much!!!

The EGR is on the backside of the throttlebody spacer and the IAC is on the front

It's long gone now but I used to have an 88 with the same problem.

After fixing all the recommended pieces. I just gave up and drove it.
Flicking the key from off to run before it actually shut off. Would cure the high idle for a few days.

After finding the off, on key trick I refused to believe it was anything mechanical like a intake leak.
