Default carb problems

This is for a friend of mine that is having some troubles if you guys have any ideas at all that would be great sorry for the length.

well i just bought a 750 dp quickfuel ss after numerous moving of vaccum lines and helicoiling two studs in the intake mani i got it on and running, car ran real good, then the fuel line started leaking, tried fixing it today and things got bad.

yesterday the car started right up and ran real good, today it seem to run really rough, seemed like a miss, while driviing i couldnt get the car over 3 grand and the whole time it sputtered and acted like it was trying to die jut around the block.

i dont hear it sucking air, and the idle doesnt hang so i dont thing its vaccum...

so my two thoughts are a fouled plug or the carb is loading up, niether of which i have dealt with so how can i spot them?

also i have a holley red electric pump and i had it pumping fuel for 10-15 seconds while i was checking for leaks, and i had started it after a hour or so sitting, it ran better but still real rough around 2500 rpms

and if anybody has any other possibibilties let me know.
