stand alone harness

my question is what does it take to make a mustang sd or maf harness to work outside of the car. like on a running enigne stand or even in an older car.
any answer is appreciated thanks

I guess i stumpted everybody but i did find a good website.

they have really good wiring diagrams for just about every 5.0L powered vehicle and the also sell a wiring harness.

Painless makes them as well as a few others. I think FRPP has one too... not cheap though.
