Default chipping an sd EEC-iv

I have an 86 mustang and I've been wondering about chipping it. Most people say I should just go MAF, but I like the fact that I wont have the obstruction in the air inlet and be able to disable equipment in the eec module. Do you guys know if the 86 pcm can be chipped. I've been looking at moates and tweecer and I think I saw a page on the tweecer site that says it'll support the 86 mustang pcm. I haven't been able to verify if quarter horse will work with the 86 mustang pcm

Jet Performance Products http://www.jetchip.com/
and Hypertech http://www.hypertech.com/

both make reliable aftermarket chips for the '86 Mustang.

I am unsure about the tweeker though.

Those are systems that help you tune wild combos. Do not waste your money on a chip! Just do the normal upgrades. The MAF housing isn't a restriction in the inlet, at least not enough to make a difference. Making a SD system fast and reliable isn't hard like some think it is.

The MAF sensor IS a restriction in the inlet if you are supercharging. Something to keep in mind if you add one.

Anything in the inlet is a restriction for any setup. How much of a restriction depends on what brand you use.
