tach input wire for msd distributor??

Unhappy tach input wire for msd distributor??

hey guys just installing my distributor. i have swapped my 4cyl over to a 302 which is carb. i cant seem to figure out where i hook up my green wire from the distributor. which wire is the tach input?

I ran my tach wire trigger to the negative side of the coil.

i have a msd ready to run distributor and blaster coil. i was reading on the internet to not do that?? why is that? also if i was to do that would my stock tach work ?

ahh see I was under the assumption you were using an after market tach...

That is the one problem I ran into on my 95 when converted from a v6 to carb set up . I could not get the tach to work on the dash because the computer was not involved in any engine control... I used a auto meter tach and hooked the tach to the negative side of the coil.

i have heard alot of people on these forms that have been talking about getting theirs working just not sure which wire they spliced into. if any body has come across this before it would be appreciated if you could throw me some input
