what brand spring and struts would you recomend for a 97 GT that is a daly driver in the snow?

Its not the brands, but the specific models of springs that you want to look for...

Good Street/Comfort springs for a daily driver are:

Ford B Springs - 1 inch drop
Eibach Pro-Kit Springs - 1.5 inch drop
H&R Sport Springs - 1.5 inch drop

All above are fully progressive rate springs.

The shocks will help dampen the new higher spring rates. Tokico HP (blue) and Bilstein Heavy Duty shocks & struts are very popular choices.

I would first decide on the drop you want, from the list of above springs... then decide what your shock/strut budget is...
