Broken Spring
I have a broken right-front spring in a newly purchased 1999 GT Vert. What are my options for replacing it? Where do I buy replacements? I don't want to lower the ride height. Is it a simple job to do in the driveway? Would you recommend replacing all 4 or a pair?
You can buy a replacement at either your Ford Dealership or a local Junkyard. Both would work well...
As installation... you will need a jack, jackstands, and basic hand tools. Take caution when jacking up your car, to make sure its secure on jackstands. It is a driveway job when caution is taken to be safe...
I'd honestly recommend against getting a stock spring replacement, for the same price probably you can get aftermarket/performance springs will actually make your car handle and look better...
Sincerely,

What do you recommend? 4 springs, 4 springs and shocks... I'd rather not get into a major "while you are at it"
Does spring remove entail ball joint separation? My other car is a 72 Corvette, and I removed its front springs. I'm wondering if it's a similar undertaking.
Thanks.

This means that you're literally running on half of a suspension. The shocks make up a major component of the suspension.
Replacing the shocks & struts will make a drastic night & day difference from the ride you're experiencing now....
The springs do not require touching the balljoints, and not even a spring compressor is needed...
