Default Questions from a newbie

Hey everyone i've got a 03 mustang gt and i'm more into the 1/4 mile drag than into autocross...with that in mind i was wondering what suspension parts mattered the most for traction. I have the eibach pro kit springs but i have been reading about control arms, sub frame connectors, shocks, and traction bars...i'm looking to see if someone can rate these on importance. I don't have a money tree in the back yard so i want to see which ones to get first. Or should I just get a stronger drive shaft and put drag radials on the back with 10.5" wide rims? Just looking for some help guys thanks!

I would definitely lean towards the Shocks & Control arms. The stock rear suspension setup is the most handicapped area of a stock Mustang.

Adding the shocks will help with traction, and help prevent wheel hop. Control arms will help control the rear end, improve launching, prevent wheel hop, etc.

Popular items for drag racing:

Shocks/Struts
Control Arms (upper/lower)
PanhardBars/Torque Arms
Tires, Tires, Tires (more grip)

Sincerely,

Wider tires will increase traction... so you dont loose time just spinning your tires an going nowhere...
