Default Spring / Strut install

Ok got the Eibach Pro Kit, Tokico struts/shocks, cc plate and ford service manual on cd. In reading through the install of springs in the service manual it says that the tie rods need to be diconnected in order to get the springs out. My question to you guys is: how hard is this install? Keeping in mind that I don't have a lift, just looking to do the install in my garage. Is it necessary to disconnect the tie rods?

For those of you that have done this install, any info/tips on doing this would be appreciated?

Thanks.

Default RE: Spring / Strut install

You need a MacPherson Strut spring compressor... which can be rented at most auto parts stores..... jack, jackstands, and a standard range of hand tools...

Its not too tough of a job... there are many How-To articles online...
