Eibach Tires or Vibrations!
Has anyone had problems with tire cupping after installing a pro kit? I have had the car aligned properly and all however since dropping the ride height, I get really bad cupping on tires.(Firestone Wide Oval) It does not matter ifit's front or rear they are just vibrating terribly. My tire dealer Firestone, has looked at the car and said it's from the stiff suspension. He agrees that tires are bad, but will not warrenty tires since they say "suspension has been modified" Not really cool since I have new tires with less than 5,000 miles on them. Never had this problem with any other car I own. Getting a little pissed that I can change my suspension for the better and now have tire trouble. Is this a bunch of tire company B.S. or is there some truth to this? or are these tires just expensive pieces of Sh*t?
Or could I need CC plates? I really doubt it but grasping at straws..........HELP!

Have you examined the tires to see if there is any excessive wear? I would check the inner & outer sidewalls and see if anything looks unusual.
Do the tires look like they're leaning inward (negative camber)? Did the alignment shop set your toe correctly? It should be slightly negative...
Sincerely,

Also I get a strange vibration at slow speeds or when almost coming to a stop. Had the rotors resurfaced and all suspension components checked. Everything is OK according to the dealer who did my alignment, they said they could not get the camber perfect but it was not real bad.
I looked at the front wheel bearing this AM and without the rotor the hub spins clean and has no loose feel to it. Very puzzled and Ijust keep thinking that CC plates would have been a good idea to get the front end back to spec. But what to buy that gives plenty of adjustment? and whats with the vibrations?

How long have you had the Eibach's on your car? Spring after a while will "settle". Sort of break in. Usually when you install a drop kit, if you were to measure the ride height, there isnt a noticable difference at first. After a couple months itll set to the appropriate ride height.
As for cupping, its usually caused by a couple of things. Lack of tire rotation, excessive toe (pos or neg), or worn out shocks/struts.
Did they give you a sheet with your alignment specs after they aligned your car? If so could you post it?

Spring and Tokico struts & shockswere installed about 6-8 months ago. I rotated the tires at 3,500 miles, they have a total of 7K miles on them now and problems still exists. Car has 24K mileson it if that makes a difference. No, I did not get a spec sheet with the alignment.
I got the spec sheet on the alignment,,,,,,,
Left Front Camber -1.3 Right Front -1.0
Left Caster 3.5 Right Caster 3.3
Left Toe 0.09Right Toe 0.07
Cross Camber -0.3 Cros Caster 0.2Total Toe 0.16
What you think?

I would look at a few things:
[ul][*]Make sure your toe setting is slightly negative. Your tires will toe OUT at higher speeds, you dont want it to toe out too much.[*]Flat spots on the tires[*]Improperly balanced wheels/tires[*]Balljoints/strut mounts[/ul]
Sincerely,
