Default 1990 Suspension upgrade

I am having a little trouble installing some Eibach springs in the Front. The spring compressor I have doesn't seem to do the trick. Is there something I am missing. A special tool perhaps? Please help.

Thank you

David

For a 1990, you do not need a spring compressor. You can literally just remove the spring by hand if you lower the control arm slowly (supported by a jack)

Sincerely,

I usually throw a ratchet strap around the spring just to keep it from flying across the garage when it comes out. But I'm just over careful when it comes to springs.

Thank you for the responses. The ratchet idea was one that I had but I didn't try it for fear of it not working. I am glad to hear that it works and others have done it too. I will give it a shot. Thank you
